Connection method:

This connection method is suitable for small-diameter pipes, because the pipe wall is thin and not suitable for butt hot-melt.
The connection method of PE Butt Fusion Fittings is that the welding end face of the pipe is welded together with the welding end face of the pipe fitting. This connection method is suitable for large-diameter pipes. Because the pipe diameter is large, hot-melt butt is required. Therefore, the butt fittings with a diameter of more than 110mm only have PE elbows, PE butt tees, PE pipe butt flanges and PE pipe butt caps.
Scope of application:
Socket welded pipe fittings are suitable for pipes with a diameter below DN110, because the pipe wall is thin and not suitable for butt hot-melt. Pipes with a diameter of 110mm or more are connected using butt welding fittings or HDPE Electrofusion Fittings.
Butt welding fittings are mainly used for large-diameter PE pipes. The thicker the wall thickness of the corresponding PE pipe, the more hot-melt butt welding is used to connect such pipes.
