ANSI B16.5 is one of the most commonly used Steel Backing Ring standards. ANSI B16.5 is an American national standard that specifies standard specifications for the design, size, pressure-temperature rating, material selection, manufacturing process, inspection method and marking of steel pipe flanges and flanged pipe fittings. This standard, together with ANSI, API, ASTM, MSS, etc., constitutes a pressure pipeline application standard system. It is formed on the basis of a large number of experimental studies and has undergone decades of practical testing. Therefore, it is considered to be a scientific and advanced standard and is widely accepted by various countries.
JUNRUI provides state-of-the-art fitting accessories
for jointing HDPE piping system which not only
ensures the safe conveyance but also makes it
possible to easily move HDPE pipes at a later stage.
Flanged Joints (with Stub Flanges and Backing Plates) – HDPE pipes can be flange-jointed by using HDPE stub
flange ends in conjunction with metal backing plates and a sealing gasket to provide a demountable joint or to
match up with pumps, valves etc.
Backing Rings have been modified as per the requirements of HDPE sizes.
JUNRUI can provide variety of backing ring for mechanical connectios in galvanized steel, statinless steel and PP coated steel.
1. Ensure safety: By specifying the design and manufacturing standards of flanges, the safety and reliability of flanges during use are ensured, and safety accidents caused by design or manufacturing defects are avoided.
2. Promote standardization: By formulating unified size and marking requirements, the interchangeability of products between different manufacturers is promoted, and the procurement and installation process is simplified.
3. Improve efficiency: Standardization makes the production process more efficient and reduces the additional cost and time consumption caused by design or manufacturing differences.
4. Quality assurance: By specifying material selection and manufacturing process, the quality of the flange is ensured, thus ensuring the stable operation of the entire system.
