HDPE Butt Fusion Stub End is mainly used to connect PE pipes and flange valves or other flange heads on PE pipes to achieve flexible connection and expansion of the pipeline system. The hot-melt butt connection method can perfectly connect the two pipes seamlessly and pressure-maintainingly.

HDPE Butt Fusion Stub End, also called HDPE stub flange or HDPE stub end, is a cost effective, easy to assemble, mechanical joint intended to connect HDPE pipe to any flanged piping components (such as valves, pumps..etc) without the need for costly fusion equipment.

The butt fusion method of joining is by far the most common method of connecting polyethylene pipe in all diameters. Use HDPE Buttfusion Welding Machine to heat the two ends of the polyethylene pipe and connect them together under pressure after heating form one continuous “leak proof” pipeline. Properly made, a pipe fusion is as strong as the pipe itself and has the same life expectancy.

Function

The combination of HDPE Stub End and flange is usually used when installing cast iron or steel flange valves. Specifically, the fitting is connected to the PE pipe, and the flange is connected to the flange valve or the flange head on another PE pipe. When in use, you need to put on the flange head first, and then install the HDPE Stub End. This combination ensures that the PE pipe can be effectively connected to the metal valve or other PE pipe sections, thus forming a complete piping system.

Advantages and characteristics

1. Strong corrosion resistance. PE material has good chemical stability and is not easily corroded by common corrosive substances such as acids, alkalis, and salts. This corrosion resistance makes it suitable for a variety of different industrial fields, including chemical, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, etc.

2. High strength and rigidity. Although polyethylene is a relatively soft plastic material, it has sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand certain pressure and force after appropriate reinforcement measures. This feature allows it to undertake important tasks in industrial piping systems.

3. It has good sealing performance. Through special design and manufacturing processes, it can achieve a good sealing effect and effectively prevent leakage and water leakage. This is essential for maintaining the normal operation and safety of pipelines

4. HDPE Stub End also has the characteristics of low weight and easy installation. Compared with metal flanges, the standard HDPE Stub End is lighter and easier to carry and install. This makes the construction process of pipeline engineering more convenient and efficient.‌
