PP pipe welding machine

PP pipe welding machine, that is, welding equipment for polypropylene (PP) materials, is a common type of plastic welding. PP welding mainly uses the characteristics of thermoplastics melting under heat. Through the action of heat, the surfaces of two PP plastic parts are melted at the same time, and the two parts are combined into one under the action of external force.

Principle

The operating principle of PP pipe welding machine is based on hot melt connection technology, which heats the end face of the PP pipe by a heating tool to melt its flat end face. After heating, the two molten end faces are pressed together and maintained under pressure until the joint cools and solidifies to complete the welding process. This welding method is not only suitable for PP pipes, but also for the connection of other thermoplastic pipes. It is a widely used pipe connection technology.

Common PP welding process

1. Hot melt butt welding method

Hot melt butt welding is one of the most commonly used PP pipe welding methods. The main advantages of this method are simple operation and stable joint quality.

The steps are as follows:

First, align the two PP pipes to be welded and fix them in a stable position using special tools.

Then, use a heat gun or torch to heat the joint of the pipe to about 260°C until the pipe softens.

Once the pipe softens, quickly butt the two pipes together and continue heating for a few seconds to ensure that the joint is completely fused.

Finally, let the pipe cool down and the joint will solidify to form a solid weld.

2. Electric fusion welding method

Electric fusion welding is a more advanced PP pipe welding method, mainly used for the connection of large-diameter pipes.

The steps are as follows:

First, insert the two PP pipes to be welded into the electrode of the electric fusion welding machine, and then insert the electrode into the interface part of the pipe.

Then, turn on the power, the electrode starts to heat up and heats the interface part of the pipe to about 260℃.

When the interface part of the pipe melts, turn off the power and quickly butt the two pipes together, and then let it cool naturally.

Finally, when the pipe cools down, the interface part will solidify to form a solid weld.

3. Mechanical butt welding method

Mechanical butt welding is a welding method suitable for smaller-diameter PP pipes.

The steps are as follows:

First, align the two PP pipes to be welded and fix them in a stable position with special tools.

Then, use a manual or electric pipe cutter to cut the joint part of the pipe into a V or U shape.

Next, butt the two pipes together, and then use the pipe welding machine to rotate and press to fuse the joint part together.

Finally, let the pipe cool down, and the joint part will solidify to form a solid weld.

The above is the principle of PP pipe welding machine and several common welding methods and steps. When welding PP pipes, you should choose the appropriate welding method according to the diameter, material and engineering requirements of the pipe, and strictly follow the steps to ensure the quality and safety of welding.
