Classification

HDPE Tee can be divided into various types according to different classification methods.

According to the classification of pipe diameter, it can be divided into the same diameter tee and reducer tee. Same-diameter tees have the same pipe end size, while reducer tees have the same main pipe size and smaller nozzle sizes for the branch pipes than the pipe length.

According to the classification of butt form, HDPE tee can be divided into butt-welding tee, socket tee, ferrule tee, and threaded tee.

The butt-welding tee is butt-welded with the connecting fittings after welding the tee fittings.

The socket tee is inserted into the connecting pipe fittings at both ends of the tee fittings and then welded or melted tee fittings.

Each end of the ferrule tee is a ferrule fitting, which is then inserted into the tubing and fastened to the tee.

Threaded tee fittings are tee fittings that connect fittings in a threaded manner.

According to the form of the branch pipe, HDPE Tee can be divided into positive tee and oblique tee. The positive tee’s branch pipe is perpendicular to the main pipe, while the angled tee’s branch pipe has a certain angle between the main pipe and the main pipe.

HDPE Tee connection method

HDPE tee connection methods mainly include hot melt connection, electrofusion connection, socket flexible connection, and flange connection. Each of these connection methods has its own characteristics and applicable scenarios, the choice of which method depends on the specific application requirements and conditions.

Hot melt connection: Under pressure, the connection part of PE pipes and fittings are heated so that they melt and then pressure is applied to connect the two molten surfaces together, and the pressure is maintained until the joints are cooled to complete the connection. This method is suitable for joining pipes and fittings of different types and melt flow rates.

Electrofusion connection: through the buried resistance wire special capacitor pipe fittings and pipe connection parts, power after heating the resistance wire will connect the connection parts together, after cooling to complete the connection. This method is suitable for different types and melt flow rates of pipe and fittings connections.

Socket type flexible connection: A port of PE pipe is welded to another specially processed socket inside, and special parts inside the socket are used to press the two together and then sealed with a rubber ring to achieve the purpose of connection.

Flange connection: by fixing tight bolts and nuts, let the flange connector and flange piece tightly together, so as to achieve the purpose of connecting pipe fittings and pipes.

Advantage

HDPE Tee as a special fitting, usually made of HDPE material, has three connection ports. One of these connections is connected to the inlet pipe, while the other two are used to connect two branch pipes.

The internal structure of these fittings is designed so that the fluid can form a swirling flow within them, thus allowing the fluid to be diverted and dispersed.
